Make sure you use the spacer plate that goes between the engine and trans when measuring.

Was doing some research and found this piece of text, can anyone confirm the axles being used " people out here have done it, it uses the u13 hydraulic sr bellhousing, the gtir slave cylinder, your choice of flywheel small 215mm or large gtir 240mm its a 24spline count gear shaft where clutch is concerned it uses b15 spec v short side with maxima lsd cup, spec v long side, u13/p10/b15 hub/spindle, both the back and tranny mounts have to be fabricated nothing thats not already being done."

Seems to be about what is involved with the Spec V swap. this may be cheaper if you can find them. Strength between the two is similar, and now you can get billet steel gears for the Rf5 and Rs6 transmissions.

But the HLSD has a big advantage over the VLSD unit. definitely a good way to go, either way.
