Isis turbo
I am trying to get some info for a friend that isn't familiar with forums so I told him I'd help him out. My friend is running a stock SR20DET in his 240sx and he is looking to upgrade his turbo. He found a kit on the enjuku website that comes with a ISIS RS3871 that they claim to be a replica of a gt2871r. So the reason for this post is that I am looking for any information someone might have on this turbo or any other ISIS products. Any information would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

Here is the link for the kit he was looking into:

Stock turbo is a Garrett. Could be a T25 or T28 depending on if his sr20 is a blacktop or redtop. If he's just looking for more psi just do a manual boost controller. I never heard of Isis turbos, i do know you can get a real Garrett Gt2871 for about 1000 to 1200. I know a lot of people on here don't like JGY Customs, however I live near their shop and have bought several parts from them and never had any problems so you may want to check them out.

Turbocharger SR20DET SILVIA S14 S15 TD06SL2-20G Turbo | eBay
I think the subaru guys run these brand turbo's google it tho.

or the Tomei turbo
TOMEI M7960/8270 Arms Turbo Kit : SR20DET

You don't need to change the exhaust manifold unless it's cracked, Those thin walled aftermarket ones always end up cracking.

Oh man....that site has enjukuracing has "HIGH QUALITY racing parts" listed under their name. That is pretty much a guarantee that everything they sell is junk made in China buy a guy with piece of newspaper for a welding helmet.

I recommend sticking with the big suppliers of turbos
BorgWarner
Bosch
Caterpillar
Holset
IHI
Mitsubishi
Garret

I agree with everyones inputs. I myslef will be saving for a gt2871r for next year sometime. Having said that I recommended he do that but he likes the price of the kit so I was just looking to see if anyone has personally delt with that turbo or company before.
