nope, lets see, coheeds car made 441 on 25lbs of boost on a VE-T. My DE-T made 461 on 24 lbs. Equally sized turbo, both at the time were on basic tunes. Little did I know that I had a huge boost leak at my bov o-ring which is why my a/f was shitty and all over the place at the time. No recalibration needed. Then on 30 lbs after the intake manifold, throttle body, and boost leak fixed I know for a fact it was making insane power. 108mph trap speed in the 1/8th proved that one. lol. Again all on a DE-T.
As far as hood clearance, the cheap ebay manifold cleared the hood just fine with the 60 trim turbo, with the t67 i had to trim just a bit at the front hump that sits directly over the radiator support. Then with my new manifold that sat it even higher but clocked the housing more towards the engine, I had to trim a little bit more. My new manifold i just had made for my BW S400SX sits about 3" lower plus the turbine housing is a bit more compact than the old t3's i was using. Wider but sits lower. But we will see how well the clearance is with the massive compressor housing when I get it all fitted. I dont see there being any problems though.
