Personally I would do a gt30 but he wants 11's out of his car which is easier because he won't need 450-500 with a light car

Yeah 2871 on e85 would be alright but still not get him to 450whp or more. Yes it would be responsive down low but like Ben said, its just not efficient to that. 400whp on a 2871 is pushing it to its very limits and I know what happens when you push t2 turbos to their very limits. Any little thing goes off and bye bye piston or ring lands or both. Been there done that.

T3 was the best decision I ever made to go over 400whp and it did it with ease. The 60 trim doesnt even really get into its sweet spot till about 25-26psi of boost and 475whp and even with the .82 housing it was still plenty responsive.

Ya it's up there no question but it can be done.
I don't like small turbos being a drag guy but use what best suits the needs of what is being applied

91 pump only guys, no E85...

2876 is too small for me I'm thinking, 307X is minimum size I would think for my goals. T-60 might be do-able but I'm thinking the spool would be terrible... ball bearing is preferred (just cuz I have the money available).

Don't waste your $ on ball bearing it isn't worth the 300rpm difference.
