For anyone who doesn't already have one, you guys should get a Consult cable or something similar so you can log your injector duty cycle. Theories and formulas are great, and the injector sticky thread is a great place to start, but every setup is unique, and with Consult cables so cheap, it should be considered a mandatory part of your tool kit.

Ya, at least with my injectors I've used a Consult cable and logged duty cycle. I was at 91% duty cycle making 330whp on a 4 bar JWT tune for STI(520cc) injectors.

I know tune has a lot to do w/it as well, but I don't see these injectors making anywhere close to 400whp @ 4 bar even with a very lean tune and that'd be at or over 100% duty cycle.

STI injectors don't have great output. Not many people run them down here because they run higher duty cycles than at the same horsepower than Nissan/HKS/Tomei/Nismo injectors. My GC8 STI 440CC injectors were maxing out were my 370were maxing out, a few cars down here are runing 525cc injectors, they max out like if they are a bit smaller than 440's. IDK why, but suby injectors just don't seem to have a great output. Kinda reminds me of DSM/Honda topfeed injectors.

So I do agree with you there.

Edit* I'm guessing Andreas already knew this;
This is a conservative rating at 3 bar. * indicate side feed or top feed inj sizes that can be bought from Nissan, Nismo or Tomei. Alot of the sizes you can not get but are there to help you if you are looking at a cetain flow rate by going to 4 bar.

Using Consult, I was at 89% duty cycle in my BC stage 2 cam'd DE using stock engine everything else. Just bolt-ons and cams. Stock fuel pump, stock pressure, etc...

That sounds about right with oem pump.

I was in the 70's on my DE which put down 162whp on stock DE injectors. 255lph fuel pump, stock regulator don't know the fuel pressure because I didn't have a gauge. With the stock pump you can actually see the fuel pressure go down on VE's. It's one of those I don't understand, spend $1200 in swap or mods and run the factory 15+year old fuel pump lol

Some silly mathamatics for Gomba

If the the average guys with stock 259cc injs are making 165-170 WHP with all the bolt ons on a DE, can we say that 518cc injs which is double the amount are good for 330-340 WHP. Just out of pure logic it makes sense. Thats on 3 bar

The diffrence from 3 bar to 4 bar is about 16% more fuel flow.

So just saying that would mean your average 518cc injs would make 383-395 WHP at 4 bar.

I have done so many engine installs of every difffrent type and the fuel chart I can up with has held true to this date.

If you call JWT they even have there own fuel chart and it is dead on with mine.

Lastly go check on Nasioc and see what they make to the wheels with the stock 520cc injs. Then when you get the number please note that is an AWD number. Then you might have a change of mind.

well lets look at it like this

259cc = 175 WHP x 4 bar (1.16) = 203 WHP
