VET exhaust cams are technically always on. The small lobes are as big as the big lobes on other cams. But the Big lobe on VET cams is huge and most people haven't seen any benefits of switching it on.

that makes sense.. probably was never intended to be used so the specs are all goofy..

u switch the cams when ever the small profile lobes stop making power
no one on here will be able to tell u when u should switch the cam lobes over u just keep tuning on the small profile lobes until u are unable to make any more power
at that point of the tuning is when u switch over to the bigger profile lobes

different size turbo
different exhaust manifolds
different intake manifolds
different cams

all this needs to be taken into account which is why no one on here will be able to give u an exact " best switching point "
your tuner will need to work this out for himself and if he cant even do that then i would be looking for a different tuner

pretty silly question if u ask me
if your tuner doesnt know basic shit like that then he shouldnt be considered a tuner

Agreed, although some cars might like it a bit higher or lower than that point. Best time to activate vvl won't be known until you take it to a dyno and tune.

Works fine. There are a few VE-T down here over 300whp with t25.

Yeah I should be able to check the cam colors. I have sr16, sr20, and 20V cams.

so far 4900 rpm's seems to be the smoothest switching point, anything under that an it kinda stumbles for a split second.
