I can't wait to see what this car does. I know you guys have invested a lot of time into this.

As for the alluminum exhaust I am really considering it. This may not be a near future mod but, I will eventually do it. I am not to concerned with it messing up on me as this car is not my daily driver. It's a garage queen that will at most be driven one or twice a week during the nice weather. I am not a fan of no exhaust. I like Andreas want to build a nice 100% street car with full exhaust.

Rob, i don't know why you are even asking opinion. I have seen your build quality and it is usually unique and top notch.

My .02 is Stainless to flex section, v-band and aluminum the rest, done.

The saying is, but once, cry once. Do what you want from the start, it actually ends up cheaper in the long run.

another option is 18 gauge (0.049 in. wall) or 20 gauge (0.035 in. wall) 304 or 321 stainless. might be tougher to source mandrel bends, but you can always miter/pie/jdm cut straight tubing and fab bends.

Rob, any more thoughts on the setup you'll be pursuing?

I will not be doing this in the near future but it is something I will have done eventually. More than likely it will be a a OEM routed 3" into the alluminum Vibrant muffler mated to my stainless down pipe via a flange or v band clamp.

With so many things going on with the car I may not be able to get this done before the convention.
