new swap turnover then died
first crank ran ok for 3-5 seconds, then shut off. I noticed that when the motor did stop, I heard the fuel pump pulsating. so i got my 13 yr old neighbor to start it up (after a brief lesson on stick shift) it started momentarily and the fpr was also pulsating in unison with fuel pump. when I open the fpr more, the motor doesn't even consider starting, a/f ratio is way higher, but no pulsating from the pump. the higher the psi on guage, pump pulsates. the most i can get without pulsating pump nd dancing fpr is 30 ish. wtf is goin on? I did check all my plugs, connections, etc. clues, ideas, suggestions, something!!!

Make sure your fuel lines aren't crossed up.

that was the first thing i checked. spoke to Greg (got the fpr from Gspec)
he saying the fuel pump is too big, for 400hp and up. so getting a smaller one.
will try again Monday. but she ran! sounded good, even with no muffler. can't wait...
happy new year

what kind of fuel pump is it?

check the voltage at the pump. I always wire a voltage stabilizer relay in line with a after market fuel pump. The stock fuel pump relay can cause this issue.

GSS341-400-959 Walbro Fuel Pump from nolimitmotorsport.com

it sounded like a pressure issue to me only because when i turned they key to "on" position, pump ran and sounded ok. did it a second time seconds after, nd pump when from sounded ok to pulsating. and when the fpr was wide open (no pressure) pump ran fine. but will check the voltage sunday. what should the voltage be?

should be at least 12volts at the pump. If its pulsating you could have a ground issue or a bad pump. If you have low voltage at the pump you either have relay issue or wiring issue. I have checked a few cars that would only have 10-11 volts with the key on and 12 volts max with the car running. This generally does not cause the pump to pulse it only causes poor pump performance.

new walbro pump, but same bs!
this is my swap

SR20DET MOTOR
ACL RACE BEARINGS, SR20, CON ROD, 17mm, .STD ARP ROD BOLT KIT, SR20
ARP SR20 MAIN STUD KIT
R&R ROD & MAIN BOLTS AND BEARINGS
new water pump
FRONT CRANK SEAL
REAR MAIN SEAL
NGK PLUGS
JWT S3 CAMS
INSTALL S3 CAMS
RC INJECTORS, 550cc
CS FUEL RAIL, HI/LOW PORT
TOMIOKA FPR
WALBRO FUEL PUMP
JWT REPROGRAMMED ECU

k. so apparently i had the HP pump which was too big. new walbro pump (part #GSS341-400-959) arrived and intstalled this a.m.. to get pump to run contstantly, i jump relay and try to set fpr but it does the same thing. pulsates anywhere between 30-70 psi. guage needle jus jumps in unisen wit fuel pump sound. i swapped my fuel lines, nd get no pressure and car wouldnt start, so the lines are not crossed. voltage was good to fuel pump. did not check grounds (forgot, check tmrw) but car runs for2-3 seconds then dies. a/f in low 20's range dueing/after short run. so what next? ideas?
new fuel pressure reg recommendations?

ecu? it controls the ground to the fuel pump. I'd find out which pin controls the pump in the fsm and see if it's switching on and off with the pulsing fuel pump.
