HUGE boost problem
well im not sure if this the right posting spot srry move it if it aint.
i have had my car tuned several months ago never no prob except for piping poping loosde sometimes. as of now it will not boost over 10 or so lbs. but if i hold down gas from a lil roll once it spools it slams on its face with an all motor intake sound shift gears and same thing. somthing is not alowing it to spool past that. i have changed mafs bovs sprayed starting fluid everywhere possible. the idle is at 2000 plus with a constant uba uba uba uba uba uba in idle non stop. i have just got done taking off turbo mani and wastegate for the 3rd time looking for something broke or cracked and no luck. at this point i am stumped. i did compression 161 155 161 160. boost tested cold side found the maf had a whole in it got new maf still not the problem.

what wastegate are you using and what lb spring? what controller are you using? or none at all? 1000cc seems like overkill for a 60-1. Your idle is way high, is it steady high or does it drop and come back up? have you verified with a boost gauge what psi it spools to? does it loose pressure after fully spooling? a posted vid would help.

ok ill try to get video. but im a lil scared to hold it where it is messin up at in boost. i got 1000cc cause i always buy for my new setups then when i change i have to buy again so i just bought them for the last time. 10lb spring. im tuned on 18 psi the gauge will hit around 13 and car will come to a hault while making a very lound intake scream. i have a hallman manual. i ahve changed it with another also not the problem

Hmm one more question, where are you taking your boost signal from for the gauge and your controller?

I had an issue like this and what happened is my cone air filter was pushed on too far and it couldn't flow enough for the turbo to spool under a load. Try taking off your filter and
spin around the block.

Sounds like you need to set your idle too

is this a det, de-t?
regardless of the final issue, you will still need to reset your idle, there's no reason to be idling that high. unless whoever tuned it was just trying to give you a head start on spooling it.

Oh you will also want to check your intake manifold and throttle body gaskets for boost leakage.
