cant find ve IC piping, b14 ve and lowport IC piping interchangable?!?
It's been hell tryna find intercooler piping for my b14 ve top mount log mani setup so I was wondering if the lowport piping and ve piping are interchangeable for cold and hotside? Or would I have to have my piping custome done? Thanks in advance...

You could always just get one of the DIY piping kits off ebay for like 90-100 bucks that come with t-bolt clamps and reinforced silicon couplers. Ive done this on many many setups. Get you a bov and flange of choice and have it welded onto one of your pipes wherever you want it and have a bung welded on for the IAC valve on the cold side charge pipe. Other than that depending on how you want to do your maf (draw through or blow through) you will need various couplers for that depending on what size piping you go with. Its gonna be difficult to find a prefabbed kit. A nice cutting wheel to cut the pipes and some pliers to flare the edges and clean the cut sides and your good.

Just pick out how you want to route your piping and get the piping kit that will best so that route. The kits come with more than enough piping and couplers to do a full kit. There are different styles of kits some have complete U bends, 90's, 45's and straights, and some just have 90's, 45's and straights. So depending on how your routing it you can base your decision off that.

I thought of that also but I don't have a welder nor can I weld. So if I went that route I'd have to pay someone to do it and that's ganna run a nice piece of money. My only welding buddy left the country for a year so I'm SOL on that....

only thing you need to weld is the bov flange and bung. The rest of the pipes measure, make the cuts and join using the couplers.

I took mine to a metal and welding shop and they charged me 20 bucks to cut the pipe out for the flange opening and weld the flange on and weld the bung on. So either way your looking at about 120-140 to do the whole piping.

I may have to go route....but I'm so used to having a complete 1 piece Hotside and 1 piece coldside.

Well if you want to avoid using a lot of couplers you could still get the kit, do your measurements and cuts and mark the pipes with a sharpie how they are supposed to line up and then take them to get welded together. Im sure it will cost a bit more but if you really want a nice one piece on each side kit thats the way to go. I plan on doing it with my new IC setup but will have very short sections of pipe.

Ive never had any problems with using a lot of coupler connections as long as you get the kit with the t-bolts and nylon reinforced couplers you wont ever have to worry about your pipes popping off.

If you can sit down and think about where you want your pipes to go you can order the pipe in single sections, like a bend or a straight section and so on. And unless you are pipe all over the place, it will save you a good amount of money over the kit. You won't be buying all of that pipe you don't need. The T-bolt clamps in those kits suck anyways.
