Tack everything together with a MIG with the appropriate wire. Then TIG it all together with the appropriate rods.

Trust me, this will be the easiest way.

If you're doing a very complicated manifold, this will be the only way.

I agree.

build the collector first
then bolt the collector onto the dig
bolt cylinder head flange onto the dig
then lay out all my runners

every one does it differently

I was just explaining to him how we get the runners welded up completely. I used a spare engine that I have for mock up then bolted it to a piece of 4" angle iron. Then I removed the runners one by one and welded them up before reattaching them to the flanges. After I built the collector I bolted the turbo to it and started to build from there.

Well I'm done with the manifold... Found a great deal on this Element Equal Length manifold and Tial 38mm MVS.

Manifold bolted right up without any modifications. Looks like ElementRacing built it around VE flange, the ports seem to line up too, though I shaved a lip slightly just in case it shifts during installation. Seeing the pictures, I probably will have to dremel smooth it out.

Now this manifold was used on a DE head before, you can see the miss alignment from the exhaust soot

Also shaved the turbine housing some more. Sharpie outline of exhaust flange if it shifted (at extremes)

Gasket on exhaust manifold.

Looks good vadim. I told you it was gonna be difficult to make a manifold. There is definitely a lot involved. Precise cuts and measurements and good welding skills and equipment is a must.

New mani looks good though.

nice mani ...looks real similar to mine except my wastegate tube is a bit longer to clear that radiator hose

That looks like a nice piece Vadim. Should make power with little effort.

I swear I see this manifold up for sale every 6 months or is it the love fab one I'm thinking about?
