not as fun as building your own specifically for your set up.

So ashton, I know you have that bmc intake manifold now. As far as my car going for a quicker response, would you say that ebay india(?) Mani you had would be good for a 2871r? Or would a n1 plenum with custom runners be better?

The ebay one will work perfectly fine for you.

Your factory manifolds are made for low end throttle response and fuel economy unless you are driving some high end car. The larger plenum and runners will allow more power up top where our factory manifolds run out of breath. I can feel it in my car when I get up around 7k or better. The power just isn't there anymore. Thought it was the cams for the longest time but guys are pulling hard past 7k with 264's all the time. So, it's time for an upgrade...intake and exhaust.

Dead on that's the way to do it

Yeah I didn't even notice that it had velocity stacks too. Doesn't look like it could be more (+- a little) than a 2l plenum.

I'll probably just go with my original plan and get that since you've already told me a bit more about it in another thread.

Good stuff in this thread though, lots of learning to be had =p.

Its roughly about 2L which again will be fine for most setups.

saw this pick on wiki about velocity stacks. I really like the comparison.
