we use a hypertune plenum camber on a few of our workshop cars

this is our 2J RX7

I agree with Ashton except I still like to see velocity stacks on turbo plenums. And don't forget the shape/flow of things is of the utmost importance. Love those center entrance plenums.

i understand the shape is important, tighter areas creating more pressure etc. I like the center entrance idea Ben, but don't think it's feasible the way our motors sit.

anyone know where to find a flange? The only one I can ever find is VE

Call mazworx, they should have flanges as they used to make s13 aftermarket manifolds if im not mistaken and the s13 motor uses the same flange as the highport.

Most people just use the highport runners and cut and weld onto them. Seems to be the easier way to go to also keep the stock fuel rail and so on. If you need a spare set of runners I have like 2 or 3 jdm intake runners that i almost cant even give away anymore.

i like where this thread is going. im bout to bite the bullet this winter and make that my after christmas present

im no genious of course so take what i say as just my 2 cents. but from what i understand by a buddy that builds manifolds and does alot of fab work that you want a manifold like people have posted her. one that is tapered. not just a humongous round tube attached to runners. so if you are making one be weary of that.

A friend and I are about to attempt to make an intake manifold for my rwd vet. We are starting with the intake manifold from the ve and cutting the flange off then modifying as necessary. Anyone have any tips? This isn't our first attempt overall, just the first at this particular project. My friend owns his shop so we aren't exactly blind, just wanted to hear some experiences if there are any.
