We are taking it apart now and inspecting if there was any damages to the gears itself. Plans are to make a billet outer housing right now and figure out a cuff to hold everything in place.

GTIR owners will be extremely pleased if this is an affordable piece.

Could not get the car to not bog down going from 1st to 2nd so the best 60ft we can manage off it was a 1.8.

Its running some off the shelf Cusco coilovers.

Here is the dyno pass @ 32psi.

And here is the best pass before the casing exploded. This was done on 4 yr old drag Hoosier drag radials and @ 22psi of boost. Really need to get that 60ft down and turn up the boost

Very impressive power. Would love to see that motor in a Outlaw FWD Sentra Chasis.

This was AWD power so if converted to a FWD, it should be around 900ish.

Yeah I figured you guys would lose some power there.

Very impressive non the less. Still a great leap for the FWD design SR20.

yup thought the casing would give at sometime after putting in ppg gearset u have now shift the weak point of the gearbox to being the casing i really hope u guys find a solution for that as it is the downfall of that awd system and make it available at a good price

????????????????

This gearbox needs a combination of stronger gears and case reinforcement.
My outter case is reinforced from the inside and out, the problem I'm having now is that the teeth on the ring and main shaft are sheering off. I've gone through 3 sets back to back. I decided to take a winter break from the Bird because that gearbox/transfer case is a bitch to take out. I'll be back next season with a new motor and some billet gear.

I was correcting the C16 statement, if you go back and read my post. I did say im not sure about Q16. I know both tony and Locash dont use Q16 so there is a possibility. I never doubted but however C16 I knew for a fact does not cause issues with the injectors.

Mazworx,

Were you guys reving out higher at the track. While power is there and very good power the powerband itself is pretty short and seems as though especially if you spun 1st alot and shifted early that you would be bogging the next gear and even without spinning you would fall quite down on power. Seems if you would rev it out another 1000 rpm or so could solve that issue.

Great job guys and yeah they called it on the casing.
