VE+T Spark Plugs
Regular VE's call for BKR6E-N's, these plugs have "Special Side electrode" (NGK Part Number Key). Heat Range 6 is a little too warm for High Compression and boost, Heat Range 7's would be best. But I can't find BKR7E-N's anywhere.

Do you VE-T guys just use BKR7E's with regular side electrodes, or stick to Platinum/Iridium's?

Run the 7090 NGK GP BKR6EGP. They work just fine for the compression.

I just skip heat range 7 altogether. The 4554 NGK are the R5671A-8. Non resistor heat range 8. They work awesome, but are copper. No matter, turbo guys will change plugs every year anyway right?

Those "N" plugs give issues from what I've seen on the dyno, dunno why. The cars that have run them have had erratic powerbrands and misfire once they start seeing some mild boost. Dropped in some regular 7's and the issues went away.

I've run regular BKR7E or BKR6E for lower boost applications.

I really wish I could get my hans on ZEX plugs, I love them.

I'm running 6EGP's (single platinum's) on my wife's car right now, they seem alright. I like to side gap my plugs (get 2-3mpg more on highway), so I like to stick to cheaper plugs incase I screw them up while side gapping them.

I've been getting pretty bad gas mileage (18mpg city only) on the NA VE (drove car lightly shifting under 4k rpm and light throttle). I looked at the BKR7E's that I had and there and they where fouled on half of the plugs. I'm trying out the BKR6E-N's right now to see if my gas mileage improves city driving (not light though).

What about Denso IK22 iridium (heat range 7)?
