Aluminum exhausts
I'm considering it for my turbo project when the time comes to upgrade to 3".

Aluminum exhausts make sense to me as long as they are comparably priced. The only thing with them I've heard is that they can be unappealing to listen to especially for lengths of time.

I wanted to do aluminum uppipe but that close to the turbo any bend will start to sag. From downpipe back meaning where the cat is or used to be should be fine. Weight savings is pretty significant over SS or steel exhausts. However only drawback is the tone of the exhaust is different. The aluminum vibrates more causing a more raspy sound from what I was told. On all motor applications i could imagine it being really loud and annoying sounding. Turbo though, probably not soo much if you use a good muffler.

I'm thinking I'll run two of the ones in the first post, under the car by the cat and depending how it sounds, run a straight pipe the rest of the way or add in a v band and put a Magnaflow out back. Check those out in the first post and LMK what you think.

Yeah id run a muffler, You can attach it to your other steel parts using vbands. Ive seen some nice setups on Evo's and they sound pretty good. It really depends on the muffler more than anything. Again i wouldnt want to hear one on an n/a car though.
