Thread: Did any JDM DET's come as lowport?

So i was browsing through Tiger Japanese and i stumbled on a red top lowport that they have as a turbo engine...I was like WTF??

I thought all turbo JDM SR20's were highport regardless of year and model...

That Sr in that picture isn't turbo. Thats why, It's a miss print, and DO NOT order from those

guys... You will regret it. Trust me.

thats odd even if it were true i thought it being a lowport and JDM it would be a roller rocker


and if u look at the description on the bottom of what your getting it says nothing about any turbo parts

it looks like a late model primera UK motor, .

These motors were around the same years as the 200sx ( lucino)

right before Nissan introduced the Neo VVL technology.

yep, jdm lowport from a primera.....if any of you have ever ordered a jdm they will ask you highport or lowport. Its a misprint, look at the manifold and look at the intake pipe on the throttle body, there is no way a turbo would have a rubber intake pipe like that as the coldpipe

That looks like a VE intake manifold but i cant really tell if that is a VE cuz the valve cover

doesn't look shaped like a VE and can't really see for the VVL solenoids... Possibly.

would be an awsome buy, would be better if u could see the solenoids, but it does look just like a VE motor

lowport 10:1. looks like normal lowport missing odb2 stuff, namely egr temp sensor bung red valve cover made by portigual called uk made around 94?

roller rocker more common newer less power valve cover looks like ve with no oil catch can

ve comes with plaque on valve cover don't get your hopes up


bottom line roller rocker and lowport 10"1 are probably interchangeable as far importers are concerned so don't even get your hopes up there.
