Max safe hp on stock 98 bluebird sr20det
So i was looking online for forged pistons and while reading info about the bluebird came to find out that it already has low compression pistons?

So whats the max hp safe to run on a sr20det off a bluebird?

I want to run a 350whp setup with a t28 for the summer hopefully

350whp is safe. Any more than that and you compromise reliability.

A healthy DET will take 350whp and smile. It will hold a lot more safely if tuned correctly with the proper supporting mods.

True. I made about 360-380whp for years without issues. But I am running the GTiR bearings too. The DE will make 400+ pretty well for the track, but if you daily and beat it up a lot you will see the limits of the internals with lots of miles. It could be reliable, but I have seen quite a bit of lower mileage, heavily boosted DETs spinning rod bearings as of late.

But 350 will keep you happy all day long and be a blast. Any more power than that and you are spinning tires anyway

The rod bearing issue really has nothing to do with power level in my experience.

You all missed one little pointer. Your not gonna make 350whp with a t28 found. Only t2's you will make that much power on are the gt28 series turbos like the gt2871 or disco potato or something to that nature or go with a t3 setup. With an efficient setup the det will take 350whp all day long with no problems.

Oh wow thats great mines has less that 60k on it. So what type of upgrades am i looking at?.. So far i know a t3 turbo, 350cc injectors maybe? Not sure if stock will do, and a good tune is this about right?

550 injectors you mean. 370's are stock on det's, z32 maf, and a tuned ecu for the setup and you should be good man. 350 comes real easy on a t3 setup, even log mani and 50 trim on about 16-17 lbs will put you at or over 350whp.
