Turn the crank, or not turn the crank
My block will be going to the machine shop soon to be bored. I am unsure as to whether or not i should have them turn the main journals or the crank. Here are some pics.

Those are the only 2 journals that have any kind of mark. They still feel as smooth as all the rest, even over the marks. I was going to not have it turned, but I wanted to see what those more knowledgable than me had to say about it. Thanks!

Hey man, you don't want to have to go back in there anytime soon. Might as well have it turned ! A little extra maybe but you can't be too careful with that sort of thing.

weigh the differences, extra i dont know how much maybe... 3-400 bucks im just throwing a number out OR

complete rebuild because the bearings wear out and a rod snaps annnnnd goes through your block and right through your turbo which sets fire to your car because of hot oil on the manifold.

see where im going?

have it done now. The peace of mind is worth more then it costs to have it done
