i doubt it would net you more than a couple whp at most, which would probably be offset by the added weight. Do it and run a dyno comparison, i'd be very curious to see. I think you would need a ton of water though.

If you dont care about your windshield washer fluid you can use the reservoir and maybe a more powerful pump, some plumbing and nozzles. I've seen it done on a boosted Corrado VR6 and it seemed to work fine. You wont need anything fancy either, you could just use washer fluid since it contains alcohol and water which is great for absorbing/dissipating heat.

With an NX I'm pretty sure you'd have an easier time keeping the front washer fluid functional since you could just use the switch/pump that are used for the rear wipers.

You might as well do meth injection. Will yield you way more power.

heres my thoughts guys.. some of ya mentioned the intercooler im getting may not be quite enough, so i was thinkin to help it out at the track i could spray it with water between runs or on the way back to the staging lanes..

what i would do is hook the windshield washer thing up to some cam oiler tubes (after i slightly mod them) and then position them so they spray the front of the intercooler..

if the intercooler gets fairly warm i think it would help... but if not an it stays fairly cool it would prolly be a waste of time and effort.

the staging lanes are fairly long here so theres alot of turning the car on moving forward, shut it off an so on.. im just tryin to fight possible heat soaking.. i guess we'll see what happens when the time comes, thanks guys

The STI uses a sprayer, as well as the evo iirc. It does help with heat soak. Some would say the gains would be negligible, but it depends on whether or not the unit is heat soaking or not. If your intercooler is getting over 140*F then I would do it.

If it is not getting hot, even in the middle of a pull, then you are fine.

Lynch as I mentioned in the chat. You have to look at the reason as to why STI's and EVO's actually need it. If you have a small turbo and crank up the boost you will get additional heat pushed down the intercooler and it will warm up. To resolve this you go to a bigger turbo that flows better and is not as bad of an exhaust restriction.

I also think the gains would be fairly negligible, properly heat wrapping your hot side and radiant wrapping the cold side should do you better wonders.
