question about aftermarket pistons
I plan on putting together a ve over the winter for next year and doing a basic turbo set up. I want to keep stock bore because my future power goals can easily be achieved with it. I will be upgrading the pistons and rods just for reliabilty. I will most likely be going with eagle rods and wiseco 9.2:1 compression pistons. The pistons I was looking at are for de/dets, my main concern is the piston to valve clearance with these. Do you guys think it will be okay on a ve? Heres a link to the pistons. get ve after market pistons and you wont have to worry about the clearances

the ones that I have seen are high compression and are much more money than the regular de ones which is why I am asking if they will work out fine.

yeah cp is the only company that I see has ve specific ones and they do look nice, if I have to go with those then so be it but Id like to know my options if there is a cheaper alternative. That package deal with rods pistons and main bolts is only a bit more than cp pistons alone.

I got some JE VE pistons, not sure if they offer them as a shelf option yet. Better to go CP if they have cheap off-the-shelf options.

Yeah CP's all the way man. Cant go wrong. Hit up PoorBoysParts on Ebay for a pistons and rod combo that wont be beat by anyone else guranteed. The ve specific CP's are down to about $502 shipped. He usually just carries the regular CP's so message him and ask him specificly for an eagle rod, CP VE 86mm 9:1 pistons and he will hook you up. Tell him roche0823 sent you. Ive sent him a lot of customers for pistons, rods, and combos. Ive bought all my sets for my car and all my customers builds.
