I finally got around to using, well pouring in the Valvoline 85w-140. Took some time even on a 90+F day. Definitely added a bottle of Redline Limited Slip Diff fluid. We'll see how the oil does once the B15 is on the road.

P11 has been running MT90, B15 disc, and a heavy pp. Been through 4 autocross events, still holding strong. I am going to switch to a JWT two sided metal disc though, hopefully it wont be as harsh as the pucks.

Per Ashtons Recommendation a while back im using the 85/140 and its perfect! It was rough in the NJ winter until the car was warm hahah. But now its perfect.

As for clutch a JWT PP + ACT Sprung 6puck / 0 issues. Did they sort out the JWT disc? I thought that had probs per Mike K? ( I could be wrong or thinking of a diff disk ).

Yeap... so it's the grade what makes the big difference.

What I like from the newest blue bottles is the fact that they are API-4 API-5 compatible vs the white bottle that is only API-5

Only thing it worries me it's the fact that is semi synthetic... maybe too thin...

Anyone can comment on this?

And I will follow it too!!!! I am just trying to decide between regular oil or the semi (blue bottle) but both are the same 85/140

the durablend seems to work better with the lsd than the conventional. I started out using the conventional because i couldnt find the durablend version in my area. Then in Texas they had it at the autozone there so i went with it and again no problems and seems like its a bit smoother than the conventional was.

As I have not being able to travel to US lately, I asked my sister to get me some oil to finally stop using the so expensive royal purple that my tranny was leaking... She bought me 6 lts (2 spares) however, I saw that fortunatelly for me I got 4 newer version and 2 older version althought both are exactly same part number

I investigated a little bit more and it's seems MT-1 has protection against corrosion...

She had a little bit of hard time finding them and she couldn't find on stock Durablend @ autozone this is why she got me these.

Just wanted to share my findings on Sept 2012

Oem Nissan oil 75W90 sucked big time then switched to Royal Purple same grade however this oil is so thin that my tranny would leak forever so I will give it a try to this oil that has given you excellent results guys.

that oil should work fine for you, however if your trans is leaking dont you think you should find the leak an fix it?

common leak areas are the axles seals obviously and the reverse an neutral sensors, then the shifter selector an case itself.. the axles seals can easily be replaced but the passenger one is easier to do if the trans is out of the car, the sensor threads can be resealed with RTV however if the sensor itself is leaking it needs replaced. the gear selector has a seal but you have to take the trans apart to replace it and would then also reseal the case, if you go that far you might as well replace an reseal everything lol.

All of this is exactly what I did on my P11, though I used durablend valvoline 85/140 I think. Never an issue at all.
