I might have to weld my own external gate onto the GTiR manifold, cast iron is just a royal pain to weld.

pre heat the manifold with a torch or oven then weld it hot then cool it in sand or use the oven to slowly cool it down, this is how mine was done and it was as solid as you can make it. im sure its going strong for who ever has it now and its about 4 years old

What kind of welding wire did you use? Also just stick it in the oven and let it cool down with the oven? I saw a grill method too, but with outside temps being cold I would use up couple gas tanks trying to heat it and then slowly cool it

Got the turbo yesterday, everything is so small compared to the T3 .

Now I'm waiting on GTiR manifold then gotta make it external gated. What size wastegate exhaust pipe would you guys suggest?

Sweet, 1.5" it is. I want to run a screamer at first just to see how loud it is .

Screamers, if routed correctly are not "that" loud in my book, but the sound is astounding!! Especially in tunnels!!

Keep the wastegate from opening and you will be in good shape
