Small world..... Now but a 18g with a t25 flange on it with supporting mods and go really tear up the streets. Run with an avenier manifold or a gti-r manifold. Best bang for the buck if you are looking over 300whp for sure.

Same here, I don't know why I bother. I guess it isn't the latest and greatest so no one wants to hear anything about it. It is a monster setup on the street and will hold its own an the track, especially with some race gas. I don't know why people sleep on this setup.

throw some cams in the mix and that bitch is out.

throw some radials on the car and your cleaning the streets up definitely.

Fo sho Fo sho my man! Don't need to play around with fancy manifolds. An external gate and some e85 would make a really mean ride. We don't have e85 out here so it eliminates that option but an external gate makes things even better. No matter which way you do it, it is simple, cost effective boost setup to take out most of the big street cars. When I do a street car, it is gonna be a simple high compression ve with juice but for those who want boost, 18g ftmfw

about the 18g! i praise this turbo i think price wise this is the best you can do on a stock manifold. i ran that turbo for 3 years on my g20 with the manifold modified for external gate and i will have to say not once ever was i ever threatened by any gtir or 28r turbos. for a turbo that i paid $200 it was the best bang for the buck. i can only imagine how much it would respond with cams. i dynoed 280whp on a 8psi spring with a boost spike to 12psi as time progressed i worked my way up to 20psi and on 20psi it felt like a solid 350hp or more car. not bad for the buck and reliable it took everything i threw at it. i never want to see another garrett based turbo again im sick of blowing oil seals (i used restrictors) now i have a holset on my car and i dont think ill look back to the 18g but i still respect it so for a solid 300hp car i think its the way to go

i found mine on a honda forum from a guy who was selling it out of his greddy gsr turbo kit id say the range from 200-400 dollars, i paid 200 for mine and it was freshly rebuilt but thats because most people in the honda crowd think they arent worth shit, i see people asking 400 on this site for the same turbos so thats where i get my range from. Brand New you might pay a pretty penny and in that case i would tell you to get a hks 3037s which is one of the baddest t2 based turbos you can get

What about a genuine 16g from a Subaru with a Greddy t518z t2 flange housing from kinugawa/ebay?

It´s said to be a 300+ turbo and it´s right behind the 18g... and it´s cheap as chips...

hehehehe yeah actually i still have this and love the way it drives .. and still have the same stuff hehehehe

Man I think I'm wasting time with a GT3076r and building my own top mount manifold. Might just get an 18g and external gated Avenir manifold....
