Ya why would it be stupid? Either way the same mass of air is getting drawn through the MAF or blown through the MAF. Regardless of position the same mass of air is still being read by the unit.

I don't get that one either. I managed to avert serious headaches by running blow-through, and have never had any problems with it.

Nissan mafs were not designed to be run in a blow through system. 1) They sometimes leak or blow the top off the electronics cover. 2) you can also have metering issues due to maf placement. That being said I have seen tons of people run a nissan maf blow through with no issues.

Even if you surpass the typical issues, how do you propose recirculating the crank case ventilation system? You can't have any oil on the MAF element.

It goes after the MAF on the stock intake. However, I'm just running a breather on the valve cover T and I sealed the MAF housing with some silicon.

Yeah a breather on the valve cover is just fine. The amount of air drawn into the crankcase during idle is such a small amount it really has no affect on idle quality when in blowthrough. When out of vac, the breather now vents any blowby which doesnt need to be recirculated. Yes it was once metered air but made it past the rings. Doesnt mean it needs to be recirculated.

Ive had nothing but success running blowthrough setups and putting a breather on the valve cover. Much less hoses, no issues running open bov, its really a win win situation. Also noticed a much quicker response as well. A/f one vs the other was almost identical.

Breathers on valve covers has to be the second stupidest thing people do around here.
