so i been doing alot of thinking and i spent way to much money into this car to give it without having some fun so i think i gonna put the sr18 to daily drive it while i rebuild the engine one more time. 8 to 5 pistons 90mm with rods performance rod bearings and instead of my avenir head im gonna use the sr18 head since it flows better, jwt ecu with n60 maf greddy bov, and i may go gt30

Keep the godspeed radiator, don't even bother with the sr18 swap. Rebuild the DET with stock replacement parts, invest your money on injectors, ecu, maf. A stock DET is good for over 500whp.

K.I.S.S.

Keep It Simple Stupid

Don't bother with the sr18, that is a bastard ass motor that should never have been produced. It was only produce for insurance reasons across the world. Nothing special about it, only that is very much inferior to the SR20.

Importers bring those motors here by mistake thinking they are SR20's.

Agreed with P10FTW, I would keep the DET for simplicity. I went with VE-T and at times wish I just did DET with higher compression.

I have always advised to keep your first build simPle and enjoy it, then make a decision on your next step if you feel you need more and how much more.
You are seeing big bore motors with sleeve issues and yet you want to add boost and 90 mm pistons.keep it simple.

Holly multi-blended question Batman.

Puller will always work better then pusher. Flexalite fans are good, you probably wont even need an eBay fan with Flexalite. I personally thought I would have to run 4 fans myself to be able to keep boost and AC. But two good fans, SPAL's, fixed got it all fixed .

Agree, I bought 2 spal fans from miko back in 2002 and 12" and never had heating issues and my a/c works fine till this day. Quality fans is important. When mines kick on they sound nice like a mini jet.
