Don't give up on it and buy a Honda once everything is good you should have a smile from ear to ear and you don't have to worry about your car not being there.

Faulty mechanic work I say you get a healthy motor and do it over again .

He saw shavings in the oil and didn't think much of it? I'm going to tell you straight, that mechanic took you for a ride and milked the money out of you. You sir got taken for a ride. Unless he is either a really good friend or did the work cheap, you got fucked.

Honestly I'd look for another mechanic or a reputable shop, shouldn't matter whether it's far or not. If the work is done right the first time around there won't be need for you to come back.

X2, take it to someone who knows what they are doing i.e Andreas, Gio, Kevin etc.

Give them a shout and they are all real cool and very honest people, sometimes brutally honest but it is better than bullshit like what you got.

Wish you the best on whatever you decide to do. But don't let this get you down, learn from it.

A mechanic that thinks nothing of metal shavings in the motor oil? Wow!
I wish you luck on whatever your next move is.

true.

One of my friends had a P11 G20 and we had the exact same motor (W10 DET) and he could fit stock fans pretty easy whereas there was no way they'd fit in my b14.

Damn, that shavings-story scares me....

Anyway, I run Koyo R1977 and two 12 inch Mishimoto slimfans. That combo works very well. I have 2 Flexalites as spares lying around just in case the Mishimotos quit.

yeah thanks but i dont know this whole mission put a bad taste in my mouth i love nissan but i dont think i would ever do boost again. im just gonna slap an sr18 in the car with my boost kit and sell it like that as a running car. its depressing i usually buy fast car this was the first one i tried to built and failed but im not done yet just gonna go back to what i know, Honda Accord so for everyone in south fl maybe ill see you soon in that i plan on doing an H series on 120 shot

Boost is stupid simple, people just make it stupid hard. I also wouldn't say you failed, your mechanic failed you, I'd say the only thing you failed in was realizing you were being failed on. Good luck on your next project.
