not sure the brand they came with the godspeed radiator they are 12 in slim fans and they have a rating of 1250 cfm. are you using them as push or pull fans??

Hmmm, maybe your thermostat is broken

You can check it by putting it in a pot of boiling water and seeing if it opens. But if the car stays cool with the thermostat out, chances are its not operating correctly

Just for reference..I have G20 radiator and two 12" ebay cheap ass fans. The only time the car showed signs of overheating was in 95+ degrees hot days WITH the A/C on. A/C off the car never overheated. It was only with A/C on and the car would stay cool with A/C with temps 90 or below. Also, as long as I was moving (highway) I can drive with A/C on and it be 110F outside and the car would stay cool.

I have stock DET manifold and J-pipe heat shield on. My FMIC is also only tall enough to cover the front bumper opening...it's very wide, but not tall. I don't really see the purpose of getting a FMIC so tall where it does nothing but block airflow to your radiator/condenser.

They are not 1250CFM, trust me on that. I dealt with cheap $30 fans that claimed to be 1600cfm and they didn't do jack squat. The new fans I have, one is 900cfm and another is 1200cfm. Both under what the $30 fans are "rated" and the cool the car 200% better!

my car has a going head gasket and as long as i stay mostly out of boost it doesn't overheat and i got the stock radiator and 2 stock fans in an NX with a FMIC thats too big and blocks too much of the front airflow.....i'm with Vadim...prolly the crappy fans......just adding the second stock fan to my set up brought down the temps alot

i hope thats all it is i took the thermostat out and the car ran cooler even longer but eventually the temp started creeping up again then ill pop the bonnet and open the cap because it will be whistling and once all the pressure is out the temp drops right back down. today im suppose to be swapping the radiators out so hopefully this works if not i may just put the car up for sale and let it be someone elses problem its true what they say turbo does equal money pit

Your stock fan blows a ton of CFM.

Guys seriously, stop believing what a $30 fan tells you CFM wise. Put your hand behind the stock fan when it kicks on and behind a cheap slim fan. I wish I could run stock fans, they are probably the best at sucking heat out, especially with the specifically designed shroud for them.

The cheapo fans will hold you without AC, but with AC you will be in 200's in no time. Also if you do any hard driving, Auto-x or even mountain driving, she will overheat.

Thats why I decided to go back into the all motor game when mine blew. I would still change the thermostat before I took out the radiator...i know no two setups r the same, but I used that radiator with two ebay fans and never overheated. This setup was on for many dyno pulls, and daily driving in 90-100 degree temps, and never overheated. And thats without a heat sheild or wrapping my manifold
