And fix your wheel hop (otherwise it will just break another transmission).

Thank you captain obvious!

I have been battling wheel hop with This car for several years if someones got an idea that shoot it my way.. unless its something I've already done.

Guys, I do my best with what I can.. I will upgrade to a better trans when I can.. for now I dont mind fixing the ones I have to keep going.. it sucks but oh well for now .

I am a poor bastard an im lucky I've even got half the shit I do.. maybe my priorities fucked, maybe im selfish but my car is a part of my family to me an I do my best.. if yall want me to use a b15 or p11 trans you should all chip in an get me one lol

How hard are you launching? tire pressure?
im pretty sure it's been mentioned, check bushings/ bolts for security in your front end

I'm also plagued by wheelhop, I've done everything to correct it. All new ES bushings, alignment, good tires(balanced), welded trans case, prothane motor mounts and now solid metal, brand new BC coilovers and I have one sides traction bar fabbed. I'm now running a 6spd and still have wheel hop even air way down. If you have missed something on my list list Give it a try, I think the traction bars will cure my issue but I'm to lazy to finish them( it's hot as Balz here in fl right now).

Ps my car doesn't wheel hop on slicks just street tires. The hardest part of dialing in a car is getting it just right for street and strip. If launch on high boost I get no hop it's just spin city. When I turn it down it wheelhops while fighting for traction. Boost by gear has been a huge help but I have to adjust it for different tires and that's annoying.

I also have had wheelhop since i bought the car, had several suspension setups, the only way i manage not to, is by maxing out my spec V koni inserts... I have custom coilovers with koni inserts, on the street i run them at minimum rebound, at track or ocasional pull i max them out, and that´s the only time it doesn´t hop.

so i played around a bit today with the launch control at 4500 rpm, if im not firm enough it tries to grab an thats when the wheels start hopping, if im too aggressive the tires spin like a mofo an im hitting the rev limiter.. however i was able to find a spot where i was just above wheel hop but still spinning too much to actually be any good for acceleration, this is on my 205 50 15 yokohama s drives that are pretty damn new lol.

so far i've done everything everyones mentioned or suggested im going to try playing with the launch control with my nitto DR's an see how that goes lol

have you tried lower the air pressure when your at the track to 25lbs to see if that fixes your wheel hop?

On those s drives you should be visiting spin city. What Nitto DR are you running? I had Nitto 555r DRs and they did a nice job on both street and strip. Avoid tires with a stiff sidewall they tend to wheelhop more.
