uhh not sure on the size, my rail has barbed fittings since im not upgrading to ss lines.. but yep them are id1000's!

on another note i swapped transmissions today and man is that a chore by yourself with the engine in the car lol, but now no more 2nd gear grind on downshift an the clutch actually feels better.. i think that differential in that trans is going out too cause this one doesnt seem to chatter so much while turning at a low speed..

i've also confirmed my driver front wheel bearing is bad as i forgot to tighten the axle nut all the way for my test drive an now the sounds alot worse haha it also goes away when taking sweeping left turns because the weight is transferred to the other side.. i tried what @nsusammyeb suggested but couldnt really confirm it at the time.. but im sure thats what it is..

Did this only start after the FX500 was put in? Does it do it at all RPMs? (Downshifting to to 2nd to tach it out vs. downshifting from 3rd to 2nd at 30MPH to merge into traffic etc.)

As you know we are luckier than the DSM guys who almost all have to deal with that kinda thing. I don't see much of it in the SR20 trans/gear box though.

Also what gear oil did you go with? That NEO RHD stuff I used is great, but expensive, but you get what you pay for.. the only thing I've noticed with the FX500 is once in awhile you'll hear that "whine" when shifting when you feather the clutch a little too much or too little when.

The 2nd downshift grind had been going on a while.. it did it while rev matching almost everytime or if i down shifted too quickly, if I let the rpms drop to idle it wasn't too bad.

I used valveoline 85w140 as usual..

Lumpy had/has a slight whine or goose honk sound when babying the clutch too much but its settled since its broken in more.. My car doesnt do it tho, it just fuckin grabs lol! Try rev matching on down shifts an gettin off the clutch quicker on up shifts an it wont do it so often.

Yep I am still breaking in (maybe 140 miles left to go or so) but will start resuming rev matching

Cool beans, you'll be running the -6 rail then. Are you going to use E85?

e85 isnt a really good option for me here.. i wish it was.. probably just 92 pump, maybe some water meth in the future or something.. i dont wanna go too high in boost an i dont really wanna pass 400hp, im not in a hurry to blow my engine, its served me well for over 2 years of bein boosted it'd be a shame to blow it up.. not to mention im limited to pos b13/b14 transmissions for now as i have a ton of em at my disposal lol..

Oh true, does e85 not go well in below 0 degree weather? Or is it just not easily available?
Yeah I get what you're saying man, longevity ftw! Haha.
You ever planning on heading back down the 1/4?

There's not a lot of E85 stations in that neck of the woods.
