on to other things, spent the day die grinding (again) LOL.. but i finally put my xcessive thermal spacers on
there was a good size step where the plenum meets the runners, i didnt like that.. also when i put the thermal gasket on there was alot of room to go up in size on both sides.. so i port matched the runners and gasket the best i could to the gasket.
much better
the runners are so thin i didnt wanna go hog wild on them, but i cleaned them up a tad, atleast as far as the die grinder would fit in there lol.. i also got rid of some casting marks an shit.
i didnt mess with the runners much, basically just port matched where they meet the plenum.. the thermal gasket that goes between manifold and head fit both nearly perfect so i just left that stuff.. thats a whole other can of worms.. also you can see how theres only a slight ledge now, i could have done further but didnt wanna risk it.. maybe next time lol.
heres runners to head.
the main reason for taking the manifold off.. no the thermal spacers were not it! haha!
1 fitting for map sensor, the other i'll probably hook the bov to.. this way everything will have its own source, bov, boost gauge, fpr, map sensor ect..
by the time i was done i didnt feel like checking the plugs, im sure they are doing ok, cars running like a beast.. although i developed a sight coolant leak (probably one of my turbo feed lines from under the intake) since i had to move some shit around.. also a weird fucking rattle vibration.. think that might be exhaust tho from rally styling it up my friends driveway haha..
