I've only been through 200 setups in the last year, far from you

Every time I change my setup its always for the better, an so far just straightening out the cold side piping has helped a lot, but every little physical thing I change, I usually have to go change the AFR so my tunes constantly changing. this is another reason I'm waiting to go to the real dyno, cause I don't want to pay for something then basically chalk it up the next time I change something.

I have no doubts in my mind that I can reach 300whp, but my goal is to do it without "just" cranking up the boost. Also as I've said before, I'm waiting for the new version of Nismotronic to come out before I go doing to much. I have many plans for my setup that will be kick ass and make tuning so much nicer, such as delete my MAF completely, boost logging, electronic boost control ect.

I really am surprised at how well the VE-T holds up, its a great engine, Vadim I think just has unrealistic expectations sometimes lol.

Nah my expectations are no different then yours. It's just too expensive for not much better then a DE honestly. Plus I think my piston rings might be too worn hence powerloss.

Filled up the wife's P11 and my B15 yesterday. B15: 31.5mpg highway with plenty of boosting. P11: 25mpg city only not always driving nicely. My VE-T P11 was 20 city and 28 highway with VET cams, not impressed at all

hmmm maybe the tuner is to blame...

Blame away, I've tried multiple tunes from Calum's to Brians (what lynch is running now), same results, not impressive MPG's. Installing VET cams did lower my MPG's a bit, I had to bump up the timing a good bit more on low cams, then I got back what I lost. This also made me see that smaller lobes don't mean better mpg's.

Granted P11's are fat, so city MPG's would be much worse. Highway MPG's are not affected by weight nearly as much, infact car weight can help since it's more wind resistant.

Best I've gotten on VE-T p11 is 35mpg highway, that was with a thin stock radiator, as soon as thicker rad went in MPG's dropped back down to upper 20's. So VE does like a warmer engine for it to get better MPG's.

ur previous sentence makes the bolded statement flawed. cooler temps (better rad) typically means a richer afr... fix ur tune. stop the unnecessary enrichment earlier.

AFR's where fine, mid 15's on average. Be it 170clt or 200clt it stayed the same. That's with no O2 sensor up front, with O2 sensor it would autotune to be around 14.7 like any other oem ECU will, so no that was not the problem.

Come to think of it, my VE does have leaky valve seals, which is leading to oil going into the cylinders. Oil would ruin a good burn, which would lead to worse MPG's. I just don't care about VVL powerband enough to justify keeping it.
