This is where virtual dyno does help.

Josh you need Keo's GT3076 for more top end power. If you can rev to 8k rpm and have a turbo that doesn't run out of breath you will be good even with lower boost. To rev to 8k, n1 cams or new valve springs and your 20ve cams.

Or he could actually go to a dyno or track and prove the car...

I'm well aware of Josh's virtual dyno, however he has a pair of my DRs or over a year and I want to see them put to good use...

I guess the virtual dyno rubber has to meet the road eventually...

Oh I agree, but I think he is in the same boat as I am, doesn't want to spend the money on real dyno + availability. I live in the middle of nowhere so getting dyno time requires traveling. This is why virtual dyno has been working well for me.

On my B14 with a DET + BB T25 9psi, Thermobloks, UR pulleys, flow stack, Side gapped plugs I made 230whp. On that same DET, journaled T25, 8psi, thermobloks, stock pulleys, flow stack, regular plugs I made 200whp on virtual dyno.

Side gapping should give me up to 207whp, another psi up to should get me to 215 or so, then i'm still 15whp down, 5whp to pulleys and virtual dyno is reading around 10whp low. But car weight has everything to do with how accurate your numbers will be. We are using edmunds numbers, if the car is heavier then projected then you will show less whp then your really making. I plan on hitting the scales before I hit the dyno

guys guy guys.. i love the input!

Fact is the car will be on the track at the end of the month for some runs just how its setup. I haven't been able to hit the track with this setup and i find my self looking to race anything or anyone, which is not good.. some track time always calms me down for a while an gets that itch taken care of.

As for the dyno, I change my setup so often I'd be spending big bucks on dyno time, I'd rather wait for the nemu stuff, then take it to the dyno. I will probably end up doing the tuning my self because i don't feel like paying someone to learn nismotronic and not have much time for tuning. I also want to get a bigger intercooler before upping the boost..

There are a lot of things running through my mind, but to me it would be nice to have a backup engine that's built a little tougher and is more boost friendly.

One more fun fact: I've been turbo since 03-25-12 it is now 09-12-12.

Thats nearly 6 months of daily driving plus having quite a bit of fun when ever I can and I've put about 9000 miles almost on the setup. I haven't had ANY problems that weren't easily fixed or because I did something silly, like try to go blow through lol. Also when I did a compression test a few months ago all 4 cylinders were at 240psi! The plugs look good, the oil looks good I couldn't be happier with the reliability of this setup.

Not to mention I've been tuning this thing with the help of a friend who is a tuner from day 1 of bein turbo, i haven't blown anything up yet!

Lynch if you are interested in splitting a motor, i know where to go... I need a VE head.

that might be possible..

you actually need more then the head tho.. i think u need the water pipe, and the oil pump would be a good idea..

but then the more i think of it, the more i think it would be nice to just hang on to the whole engine to build up, then i dont have to bother swapping the head off this one..

im really big on having spare stuff.. like i was sayin the other day, if my shit breaks down im screwed lol, cant have any down time other then a weekend

Shameless plug, I'm tempted to sell the head of my VE...

you might be right, i think the water line matches the block, however there are brackets that attatch it to the head, but im sure you can rig something up to work.

as for the oil pump, its a good idea to use the ve one, its quite a bit stronger then a det pump but you could probably manage without it.

you will also need the intake manifold, unless you can get TF to reflange the one ya got? iirc you have an aftermarket one already, but i might be mistaken?

vadim, no problem bro.
