I didn't use spray paint on any of those parts. They all were coated with an ultra high temp powder coat. I used that stuff on all the manifolds I had and it burns (with glowing manifold) to an ashy dark grey but always stayed on.... I'm betting somebody "touched it up" with some VHT.

As for hot side pipe... This is what I use: Wrap

I could've sworn Vadim did it. I mean i owned it like 5 times. and it didn't look that way until I got it back from Vadim.

Looks better then just the manifold now that its all discolored. The main reason I didn't put it on to begin with is so I could re tighten the manifold to head nuts after a few heat cycles, which I've done so its all good now.




That blue hose goes from the valve cover to a black hose thats stuffed inside then goes to the same piece of pipe the bov recircs to. just on the back side.. My friend drilled a hole an threaded in a -4 an barbed fitting, surprisingly it was air tight!

How are you running an external wastegate with a GTi-R manifold? Are you using one of those adapters that goes from the turbo inlet flange to the turbo?

the only thing i did was complete the downpipe using a part of an old down pipe keo had, but i bought new flanges, flex tube and o2 bung for my wide band.. there's pics of the completed down pipe on here, if your curious on how it looked you'll have to go back some pages an look for it
