I only recommend the clutchmasters fx500 in every car and power level. Unless a twin disk is needed. But on the fx 500 the pedal feels stock and has held up perfect in every application I have put them in about 4 cars now and have never had a problem.

I also think the Clutchmasters fx500 will do the job you need it to and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I have good luck with act also but I think that Clutchmasters make a better quality clutch imho.

What type of power did it hold for you?

Rob in your case an ACT Extreme PP and 6 puck disk should hold. Mine started slipping mainly due to it being a 10 year old pp that had a decent amount of wear on it. It didnt start slipping till I went up to 30psi and tried to do 2nd gear burnouts before the drag passes.

But again I think that was more to age than anything else. Other than that, the disks have always lasted, never popped a spring and for a 10 year old pp it still held pretty good and I was at 400+wtq at 30psi of boost, probably closer to around 450-470 I was at 391wtq on 24psi and stock intake manifold.

Id say give the ACT a shot, Im sure it will hold

I love my ACT with an Extreme PP and 6 puck sprung disk. In my 99 turbo p11, it feels almost like stock and I personally love how it engages. I've been using ACT before in my 240s in the past and it went through a lot of abuse and never failed on me.

i have the act xt pp and 6 puck unsprung and it feels great and held really great til i hurt it a little on a run. my car was easily 400+ whp and tq (but dyno of course) so take that as you will. im gonna have tn clutch here rebuild it and resurface everything and see how it likes my hx40 which should be an easy 500+ right now before new injectors. then idk what ima get

I have used a ton of different clutches. The ACT disk with JWT pp when I was NA worked awesome. I've had a lot of CS clutches and they were awesome. The best clutches I have used, and they are similar to SPEC.

Now I have a spec clutch, and it is in the 6 speed, but I really really like the clutch. If a spring doesn't pop out and it holds 400tq (rated 490) then it will be the best clutch I have used.

The only clutch I could get to hold the torque with the VET was a sintered iron. Every ceramic clutch I used just slipped. Full weight B14. I would bet the XT pp and a good disc would hold up though. I could never get the xtpp to get proper adjustment on my car, so I gave up on it.

I have only used them up to about 300whp but I have seen a few turbo hondas run them at a similar weight to a b13 and hold 450 ft lbs of torque and not have a problem.

I would like to know from you other twin disc sr guys how does the clutch feel to you in normal everyday driving conditions? On the track she feels amazing! But thats what it is ment for

You know me and Kleensweeper where talking about the same thing a month or so ago ....I love my clutch but it is harder to drive in traffic from light to light without stalling the car but other wise the pedal is a lot easier then my last clutch ...
