Clutch Talk Yet Again.....
Gang first off yes I have searched I found some good info but, I need pretty much people experiences.

OK as you all know I am building a simple big turbo car. I figure the car will be in the mid 500's more or less considering all goes well. The TQ should be in the 400+ area. I know my best option right now is a twin disk set up but, right now a twin disk may be out of the budget (convention coming soon and our yearly vacation are the blame ).

So pretty much I have always been a ACT guy and ofcourse I am thinking the best option is a 6/4 Puck disk with a XT PP but, with all the different companies such as clutch masters and what not I am just curious to know if another brand may be a better option.

Any input would be great.

Granted I was no where close to 5 wheel, I made 4 but my xxt pp and sprung 6 puck took it like a champ. Hella abuse, hella 100mph roll ons to 160.

What is the 6 puck and 4 puck rated too, I cant recall.

Im a act guy too, have never had an issue, they make great products, threw my expriences.

Rob u planning on running a p11 tranny ? 5 wheel is going to obliterate a b13 tranny on the street.

Stratton.

Rich I am kicking it old school with a B13 box... Not a fan of the P11 box due to how it feels clunky. I may end up with one someday but, I have a few B13 gear stacks to go through first

Sorry to jump in here, but I have a twin disk on my rally car. NOOOO where near 500 whp, but it keeps the revs up where I like them.

I looked at heavy duty clutches and flywheel combos before I bought the twin disk and the twin disk was marginally more expensive after all the comparisons. Clutch/FW combos were about $700 for good stuff and I think I spent $950 on my twin disk from Quartermaster. I may be able to find the invoice if you are interested in going that route.

What are you guys paying for twin disk setups?

I just swapped from my act xtreme pp and 6 puck over to a clutchmasters stage 5. The pedal feel on the stage 5 feels almost stock and it will take what ever you throw at it. I was worried about the act setup slipping over 400lbft.

I paid $1100 something for my Spec twin disc.......opinions. It works great. but if plan on driving it in traffic, I usually want to shoot myself. Now i don't know if you other guys feel that way. I have a 1000whp supra in the shop with an OS Giken Quad disc that drives easier!

I would like to know from you other twin disc sr guys how does the clutch feel to you in normal everyday driving conditions? On the track she feels amazing! But thats what it is ment for
