Turbo nx or G20
Okay I have an nx2000 with I/H/E Calum ecu, GC/AGX, camber plates, st rear bar etc. Basically a ST autox car I use as my daily.

I already have a Avenir W10 swap with damn near everything except the intercooler and piping.

Locally there is a guy selling a very clean (one dent) clean interior 1991 G20 with a blown motor for $500. Everything completely stock.

If I turbo the nx it will be a blast and is already set up quite well. However, the G20 is a much better daily and has better front suspension. I also have a spare vlsd tranny I could put in it and only have to buy a dr side lsd axle!

Or just turbo the nx as I only have a one car garage. I am not sure what to do. Of course I could put my Na motor in the g20 and turbo the nx but I am also not sure I can really justify 2 cars!

Advice/opinions?

Boost the NX. Daily the P10. Nothing beats 2 cars, especially when 1 breaks down, then you have a spare. Since you just need a shell, then why not. 500 for a blown engine, clean P10 is a steal.

If you are planning on having a turbo car without a daily, forget it. Unless you can walk to work, you would be best off having a backup car. Now once you know how to to deal with a turbo car, and have the money to overachieve then you will be fine having just one car.

I would vote for a P10 simply because the 91 P10 is still light, but wont be as fast as the NX, but would be more comfortable for a daily/long trips.

If he daily's the P10, he has to do two engine swaps. If he drops the Avenir into the P10 then he can keep on using the NX engine.

Also NX is a better car for AutoX, boosted NX might be a little too fast for AutoX, no traction .

i personally had a turbo g20 for about 4 years. i owned almost every fwd sr powered car and i will say i loved my turbo g20 the most. The car was very comfortable for daily use, handled extremely well and i had enough power to satisy your average car buff. The best thing i can say about the car is that it was very subtle and kept me out of trouble. Even though hindered by its weight i made up to 320whp with a very simple setup and with that power it was a blast to drive. Ive raced other turbo sr20 cars that were lighter and beat most of them with no issues. The car was very fast and they are many people who can attest to that.

One of the biggest cons to turboing the g20 is simply resale value. Dollar for dollar dumped into this car, if you dump the same exact money/quality time into a b13 or b14 the b chassis will yeild more when it comes to resale.

also after working out the bugs i dailyed this car every day commuting to the city from longisland 5-6 times a week with no issues what so ever. and i was still able to stretch its legs on the weekends without fear of making it to work the following week! the reason for this is because the p10 is blessed by the nissan gods! believe it!

Well i went and looked at the p10 and well...Craigslist! not quite what I was thinking of. A lot of cosmetic damage to the exterior. This interior is really clean though I will give it that.

I am really only interested in a second car as a DD if it is clean. So I think I will pass on this one.

As for the Turbo daily Kleensleeper had a similar set up to mine and Daily'd it on 28psi, I will only be running 12psi. I can bus/taxi to work and as far as $ to overachieve well I'm not hellaflush but I am doing quite fine and will be overbuilding the car for the boost I will run etc. I am not really planning to do the swap for a bout 4-6 months and everything is sorted that can be with the engine out of the car.

I will still look for another p10 though as I like the similarities and the 4 doors for moar whores.
