6 Speed LSD
First, this forum needs a Gearbox / clutch / driveline section.

Second. I have picked up 2 P12 6 speed boxes, shifters axles etc for my race car but im going to need a LSD as P12 boxes never came in LSD

So first is there an aftermarket LSD that will fit in the stock casing?

If not do i need to buy a LSD casing from a USDM (Sentra?) 6 speed

If so can i buy an aftermarket LSD to fit this casing or is the factory LSD (torsen?) the only option?

Will i need new CV's or axles to suit LSD diff?

Cheers

I'm not aware of any clutch/mechanical types for the 6 speed box. The HLSD from the SpecV Sentra is really an excellent option, being an OEM part they'd made to last as well. You need only to buy the diff itself.

LSD doesn't require different shafts.

Can someone confirm this RS6? box is the same as a Maxima 6 speed? i have found a Quaife LSD for a Maxima gearbox and want to contact them to see if its the same?

I know the gearstack are the same but im not sure on the diff as they have different bellhousings and such. Im almost positive they use the same hlsd though.

Almost seems redundant for Quaife to make an LSD for them ???

Again basicly the same thing as the factory hlsd found in the later models. I think the 02 maxima was the only one that didnt come with lsd just like the 02 spec v and 02 p12. After that I believe all the 6 speed transmissions had hlsd. Just find yourself one on here or look around on the internet for a cheap hlsd trans. Either way your saving yourself a lot compared to buying the Quaife one.

I used a maxima part number when i ordered mine through Nissan Japan, everything i had read indicated they were the same, and the maxima part number was the only one i could find.

If you find a 2nd hand maxima box to pillage a hlsd from, i would quite like a 6 speed maxima gearset for my turbo car.
