Thread: blow off ?

is there something wrong when u hear the excess air that is to vent through your blow off valve sounds like its coming from your airfilter

Video? Better description? Does it just sound like rushing air, or is it a chuffing sound?

i would say chuffing sound based upon how wide open the throttle is if u go more on the gas pedal and then let off then i hear the blow off valve open would try tomake a vid of it

Sounds like surge. Is this only at low boost or also at full boost?

Here's compressor surge. If it sounds anything like this, your BOV is not operating properly. Sometimes there is a squeaking or warbbling with the chuffing noise too.

yup it sounds jus like that its surge i adjusted the spring tension on the blow off valve a bit am getting it a little less now but if i try slacking the adjustment screw to much the car dips like it wants to cut off when the throttle goes close the turbo is a stock avineir w11 t25 should i change the blow off its a blitz

Aftermarket bovs for high boost might not set loose enough for no surge at low boost I have an rs and it surges at 1-3 psi but by 5 it fully releases. If I adjust it softer it bleeds at full boost.

where is your vacuum/boost source for the bov coming from?

take it apart and take the larger of the two spring out. the vacuum in these cars are not enough to open it with booth of them. this will give it some adjustabllity too.

Also, are you recirculating the BOV? And where is your MAF?
