Thread: sr20, open downpipe....question.....

Hey guys, im looking around and searching and i cant find a real answer...

Hmm ok a couple months ago I disconected the rest of my 3 inch exhaust from my down pipe

I thought damn this sounds more louder then most the v8s at my school

So im like ok, this will be fun for a day or two

But when i went to step on the gas, my car was allot slower!

Does open downpipe on sr20s make the car slower?

Or maybe it was a boost leak, I cant remember if i had a boost leak at the time lol... but i dont think it was, actually cause i fixed the boost leak and went open dp again and felt slower...

I personally never had a sr20 turbo car slow down with open downpipe.

Hmmmm ima have to get my car from the shop and test it out

so its quicker?

idk why i thought it was slower...

Should be a lot stronger for boosted cars
