I have the JWT 500hp program for Z32 maf. The Lightning maf tune didn't work too well because I had a hard time getting the maf far enough away from the turbo to prevent issues with it. The ported shroud was creating some serious maf reading issues, not to mention the recirc bov that would cause the car to die when it opened. the lightning maf was too sensitive to airflow, and a simple swap to the Z32 maf/tune fixed all issues.

Car looks great! How well do the hood vents for it?

The vents work well for stop and go. You can see the heat boiling out of the hood. Once moving, I don't think they will do anything, but for low-speed situations on a hot day, they dropped underhood temps by 20-30*F.

I wonder how big of a difference 8.5:1 has compared to 9:1 and 9.5:1 compression on the VVL. 9.5:1 on 10psi might make a little more power, but how much? perhaps 5% more power?

Also, Vadim has shown me a really good deal on a standalone. I am really interested in it. But it still concerns me when it comes to the OBD2 legality of it. Swapping ECUs not a big deal, but it does kinda suck.

Perhaps I should wait for a calum OBD2 realtime to come available, and not pass it up. Next one that comes available let me know and I'll pick it up.

Jamie can make me a tune like he did for you Vadim. Then we can see what's up!

Coheed - Get the standalone. You won't regret it.
