The muffler you are thinking of is the DynoMax VT. Same one I am thinking of running on my car when I switch out from 2.5" to 3"

perhaps this one? My VRS exhaust is setup for a straight-thru muffler. The VT mufflers are all offset inlet

Glad to see you are still hammering around with this car Jeremy

The stock pads are $200 for the Brembos :ouch:

Why would you want to run stock Brembo pads? They suck compared to say Hawks you can buy for cheaper

Yeah I just put on some DLG pads for now. Trading out for track pads for track days only. I'll see how these DLG ceramics do.

I finished everything on the car today except the hood pins and filling the air/water setup. Upon starting it a couple times I heard a pop and so I turned the engine off. There was a puddle of oil under the car, not large, but concerning. Turns out the oil pressure gauge sending unit finally blew up. Prob too many days seeing over 100psi on cold starts. So I had to fix that, just bought a regular factory sending unit to plug the hole for now.

The rattles are fixed, turns out the heat shield was missing a bolt.

Hooked up the sub. And i found out that 225-45-17 won't fit on the front Needs a 225-40 to fit. It rubs the strut... barely.

Tested out the VVL. Yup it works. Loud as all hell. pulling 14-15 vacuum. No more leaks is good.

Anyone have any guesses as to what impact the 20V cams will have?

thanks bro. I can go with that one, I just want to make sure it flows decent enough. I really don't care how loud it is full throttle. The open wastegates are loud enough.

I would like to see 30whp increase in power on the top end with this turbo. If the cams don't help the top end, I don't know what to try next. I def would consider a GTX turbo and possibly having the turbine housing extrude honed. All i want is 500whp on under 24psi boost.

Just consider this thread my twitter blog for this project. I am excited to try out the brakes now. After the Brembos were put on, the pedal would naturally take further travel to engage. Not a big deal, but it did bother me. When I was looking in catalogs for B15 sentras it said they had a 7/8 master just like the B14. Obviously, it was incorrect. So I spent the $50 and got the larger one put in. It feels great! Nice solid pedal that moves only 2 inches before stopping stiff.

I'm putting in some work to get it as far along as possible before the dyno day. I'll be much happier when the wiring and vacuum lines get cleaned up. Hopefully it doesn't cause other issues when it comes time to register. Car doesn't have an EGR valve, and that's the only think they can really fail me on. So sometimes keeping things a mess actually works out better

So, definitely go with the Altima master cylinder if you have a B14 with big brakes.

I think 20v's will help with your surge. The low lobes spool really well and the are big enough to hold out till 5000rpm.

I think the rare 52 trim 3076 would be perfect on your set up. This is if your problems in top end are due to reversion. The compressor is a much more suited wheel imo. It does not surge anywhere near as easy as the 56trim, hell it even has less surge than the gt3071 but will flow a little more.

ou will get more response and possibly more top end if reversion is the issue

Well, I couldn't imagine more response without the car feeling like it has a supercharger on it. It is very responsive. But the cylinders will probably have better scavenging with just a little less overlap. Even at 57* overlap, it is still about 30* more than a regular "turbo" cam.

The S4 cams have just the right amount to work well for the DE. I would figure a VE should have about 35-40 on my setup. But even taking 13* out, it should make a pretty good difference. Having a lot of overlap can be good for a large turbo and you can make a ton of power. But I think you have to balance the amount of overlap with the amount of backpressure. Perhaps if the engine had a perfect 1:1 ratio of boost/backpressure the SR16 cams would be amazing. But once the boost gets turned up on my turbo, the power doesn't quite follow suit.

I have thought about playing with the cam gears to dial out some overlap when I put them in. But I am not sure if I wanna do that or just drop them in and see what happens.

Keep in mind the difference could be due to a different front/rear brake bias ratio. They could be the same 7/8 size but just have a difference in their proportioning valve.
