I would do the AEM, but for simplicity's sake I want to keep the OBD legality. Calum RT may be the only way to do this.

Haven't heard from you in a while man. You get your car running? I was hoping to see you at the dyno day.

The car has come a long way. It will finally do 500whp with ease on the dynojet.

As mentioned, there is one in the for sale section currently, but they get snapped up so quickly around here, its unbelievable........

Hmmmmm, I am sure you have given the Nistune some thought . But worried about emissions??
I passed MD emissions recently with a 98 SE-R with a JWT OBD2 95-97 ECU after the recommended JWT changes (with no check engine light to boot). I think after I drove 150 or so miles, it finally cycled to the point of working with the older 3 wire secondary O2 sensor. Also, MD emissions, although not california strict, I believe is fairly stringent (maybe more so than out west, but not sure).

I have a feeling the Nistune will possibly be the same as well (as far as passing emission/no check engine lights). I will be running a Nistune here myself shortly and will let you in on the results when I get a around to it.

Coheed, if you get a Calum RT, hit me up and I can spend an evening showing you how to use it .

It would be best if you could get OBD1 ECU simply to use TunerCode, but an OBD2 ecu can be made to work, just keep in mind your a rather limited on what you can tune and can't tune with an OBD2 ecu.

Ohh i c... well u can always keep ur jwt for when u have to ur emission but i guess r/t should do the trick.
I haven't been in the car seen for a while, I lost my job and got behind in a bunch of payments so I had to part out my car to make those payments .
I was planning on attending the dyno day but things came up and didn't have a chance to make it, maybe next year I will take my car if I get it finish.

It sure has, I'm pretty confident ur car will make it in 500hp easy on the dynojet. Keep up the good work bro, I want to c ur car at the strip next year.

I saw Roger at the dyno day and was asking him where youve been. Good to see youre still alive bro, sorry to hear about the car bro, I sold mine too.

On topic, his car felt so amazing, the boost hits REALLY REALLY hard and it doesnt stop pulling till he shifts. Congrats Jer, glad you're finally happy with your setup bro.

I remember the first time I felt my 6262. I was actually a little scared cause i hooked up the external WG wrong and it pegged my boost gauge as soon as the VVL kicked in.
It does hit hard.

I put it in 3rd gear on the freeway and punched it at 5000rpm. At 7000rpm it started to spin tires for a sec. Thats like 100mph+ and it felt awesome. I'll have a new video posted later

I am trying to diagnose a part-throttle disturbance at 3000rpm. Seems like just before boost goes positive the timing gets pulled back and the car looses some power. After 3200rpm or so it is fine, it seems to happen just under the boost transition. Kinda like the In-between-warmup-and-cold phase the car has. Kinda runs like crap when the CTS just starts seeing 120* or so.

But the car is a handful. With the RS6 you have to keep both hands on the wheel at all times, because when you feel that LSD lock it becomes a lot harder to keep the car going straight lol.

Seriously pulls hard even without traction though. Even spinning the tires it pulls you back pretty good. Played with the VVL switching point and moved it to 5krpm instead of 6k. It makes the transition smoother, and boost hits quicker. Under part throttle though, you will feel a dip in power during the cam transition if the RPM is set too low. Something much more noticeable with the 20v cams vs the 1.6. The 1.6 cams love to kick as early as 3500rpm ex and 4k intake. The 20V have a much smoother powerband to them. The pull past 7500 is where they seem to come alive!

I still want to test the 1.6 cams as well as perhaps some N1 cams. Just to see how they all perform with this turbo and to put the data out there for everyone.
