hey coheed, please dont do both changes (grinding backhousing and changing cams) at the same time before dyno-testing. It would be very interresting to see the effect of the 20v cam alone.
I used to grind down some material on my garrett gt3271 long time ago to reduce backpressure and it had no positive effect on power or knock but very bad effect on the spoolup. So finally i bought another new backhousing and threw away the grinded one....

You got it, I'll keep the divider in and just dyno it. Just curious, what was your whole experience with grinding out some of the divider?

You will like the 20v cams. I have seen charts off of cars that charles did(snickers) with the 20v cams. The one car was running a smaller 30r and made 400whp @15psi. iirc the car topped out just under 500whp. This is the reason I built my motor with 20v cams.

i really wanted to see a bigger turbo (35R or 6262 ) with the sr16 cams dynoed , well its going into ashtons hands hopefully which is still good news.

you will see what a 6765 w/ .81 T4 housing can do with these cams. Its already been proven to work well with large turbine housing and large overall turbos. I have no doubt that the car will continue to make power all the way until 10k. Only a matter of time.

oh that will be even better , i really wanna see where and when it starts spooling that exact spec turbo, tired of hearing from the evo and civic guys with their laggy comments, a VE is a whole different ball game. i wish to rev to 9k max.

Here's a GT35R/SR16 cam @ 20psi

Stock head/Intake manifold/valve spring VET.



20v's would work much better. Just no valve springs on the setup at the time.

This motor is being put back in another car with the same turbo and 20v's. Hoping for 530-550 @ 25psi
