Thread: Avenir swap iacv question

Okay so from what I've read I need to swap my de iacv (I have new one) over to my avenir however, the DET plenum is not threaded fo an IACV or at lest not a DE one. Do people just swap the whole plenum over? Seems easiest

This pic is from Vadim's build, looks like the iacv is not bolted into the plenum just plmbed in?

I used the avenir iacv on my swap and it ran fine for years

my avenir seems to not have an iacv attatched

Just looked at mine, and its not attached to the plenum at all. I don't remember unbolting anything from around there so its prob just been hanging there freely that whole time haha. Its fine to have it like that, those hoses are on quite tight.

i already put the new iacv in but I wanted to confirm.

sorry to bring up this subject, but which way is to connector side suppose to face. Cause I have the connector side facing the drivers side and from the pic from "Vadim's build" its facing the passenger side? Does it matter which way it faces? Also, isn't that called the AAC? and how would you clean it?

Yes the IACV is the AAC. Mine is hooked up as per vadim and PTen's pics.
