Thread: Rings? Gasket? Valve seals? Or what?

broken ring lands and possibly broken headgasket. Got detonation bad at some point and blew them. With that low of compression on two cylinders it probably sounds like a wrx engine at low to mid rpm's and very sluggish. If so the pistons are screwed.

Presurizing the crank case is an obvious sign that you have cracked ring lands.

This is were I'm lost. I know 2cyclinder have low compression but the motor idle fine. And dose not sound like a wrx. This is what I don't get.

It could have been damaged before you swapped it in since it's a used motor.

That last one is like "whoa".

Definately sounds like a headgasket and rings(at least).

That head gasket looks bad well a try to take my head off this week see what it kooks like thanks to the suggestion and advise and also for the pix. Good thing someone else has some what similar problem
