Buy a DET, comes with a turbo, oil squirters, stronger rods, lower compression, etc. Everything to make it OEM quality reliable.

I bought my DET from them, they are hit or miss, mine was perfectly fine though.

Because Avenir's where front mounts, and ECU is a pain to use on a USDM vehicle. You will have to use JDM sensors etc.

Best bet is to get a Calum Basic/JKTuning Basic/Nistune. Or if you plan on getting into tuning, then a Real Time is the way to go.

My order from tigerjapanese was fine. Although expect to get a new fuel rail as it's usually bent from them using it as a hoist spot.

Also, I'd go JWT tune. Set it and forget it. As I said the sti inj @ 4 bar Z32 MAF DET tune is pretty mature, plus it will grow w/you as you mod. If you plan on going over 380whp you should get 740cc injectors at the start.

fuel rail huh? is it possible to use the one from the DE I have in now?
honestly I probably won't do a full build on this ever. I honestly just want the w11 with a black fmic, Gti-r manifold on 3" till the cut out then pure se-r stock exhaust.

I'll probably get a 240sx coupe sooner or later

Won't 740cc be way too much? will my fuel economy go down?
and what's the difference between the JWT and The calum?

also what's this 4 bar thing I keep hearing about?

4 bar means higher fuel pressure.

1 bar equals about 14 psi of fuel pressure.
