clutch masters or act. recently switched back to clutch masters because the pedal is lighter than the act. My xtreme pressure plate had a very heavy pedal where the clutch masters feels almost stock. I am running a cm stage 5 setup.

im looking for a new clutch set up myself. Im running the same turbo with s4 and pretty much had the same question. Im planning on going Hydro myself so im not to worried about pedal feel since i herd that hydro makes any clutch seem stockish.. Everyone keeps telling me to get something that holds 350 ftlbs of torq but at that range im looking at a 400 doller plus for a clutch! Im really not trying to spend that much on a clutch right now because im in the process of moving soon.

gtir t28, 3 inch downpipe, 370's, n60, s4, pullies, light flywheel, etc etc... im sure im not EVER gonna make 300 ftlb of torq right? Unless i get a bigger turbo.

ive called southbend and they have a stage 3 double clap setup that he says is very popular with the sr crowd but its 465 bones and ive called greg and he's thinking more of a stage 2. i think he said it was a spec clutch set up? not sure... So what do you guys think?

B15 disc and JWT PP from Greg Vogel. Perfect for your goals. Can hold the torque you'll be making, has stock engagement characteristics, and almost identical to stock clutch pedal effort. I have this setup on my T28 car making 237 WTQ and it kicks ass.

I've had utterly crappy luck with two (2) different ACT's.

I bought Greg V's Stage 3 kit for my Classic. Bolted-on DE, but it will be a bolted-on, cammed, tuned, VE in the future.

Clutch Kit Bundle, 2.0, Stage 3, Stg 3 : JWT Pressure plate with 2k SE disc, t/o bearing and clips,

Stg 3 : JWT pressure plate with 2000 SE (B15) disc, t/o bearing and clips, axle seals, rear main seal and clutch alignment tool. Good for stock through full bolt on and competition use. Up to 225-250 HP

(2000 B15 SE disc may not be actually pictured. It is double sprung and stronger.)

SKU: CLUTCH3

Price: $394.06

Absolutely love it. Feels stock, near as I can remember stock. Easy to modulate, no problems in traffic, grabs up tight.

If I ever needed anything more, I'd go for Greg's Stage 4 kit in a heartbeat.

The jwt and b15 disk is a great setup. My buddies jwt pp and b15 disk has been in his turbo nx for over 3 years now, 38k miles of torture and still in great shape, holds perfect, pedal feel is good, and never slipped once. Disk still is in great shape as well

my buddy peter with his ve 200sx full bolt ons n1 cams went from an act to a jwt w/ b15 and loved it. Much better pedal feel, grabs and holds all day long and is way smoother than the act. Ive used act before my twin disk and had no problems with it but yes the jwt is much smoother by far.

Personally I like clutchmasters the best... I have ran both act & clutchmasters setups and never had an issue with either. I have seen a few people who run into issues with act on sr's and have not ever seen a clutchmasters fail. Granted more people probably run act than clutchmasters so that may be a contributing factor. The pedal feel on the clutchmasters is the best. Exedy also is a great option since they are the oe manufacturer for Nissan. I would never run a spec clutch as I have seen more failures on my friends cars than should ever happen with a quality clutch. The JWT seems like a good option also but I have no personal experience with that set up.
