Tiered/Staged Boost? Thoughts??
Hey,

What do you guys think of a tiered boost setup? Having a low-boost setting for 1st-2nd(or mid 2nd) and then high boost for 3-4th? In theory, this should help with traction issues.

Same idea, yes. Basically I'm talking about any setup involving more than one(could be 5) boost settings you use during a run. I see this in really high hp cars and I think it'd help us out especially because we're FWD. I'm just wondering if some of you guys have messed around w/it and what were your results? I'm thinking about putting a switch in my car.

How do you like the 2 stages?

It should definitely help with traction issues. What is the point of having so much power that you can't put it to the ground. If this is a street tire car it will help a ton!

street or drag, eh? Can slicks hold 400whp in 1st-2nd gear? I honestly don't know, but I'd assume not.

You need a pretty good sized slick to hold 400whp in 1st.

The Apexi AVC-R has this feature.

It should be as simple as using a 2 stage boost contoller and fitting a micro switch on the gear lever to set it to low boost in 1/2 then high boost on other gears

Hey,

True true. I'm looking more for people's opinion of having staged boost than how to do it. What are your thoughts??
