Turbo has BOOST LEAK
Last night I did a pressure test on my turbo (gt28rs), FMIC, pipping and the silicone hoses. And I was getting this hissing sound coming from the turbo. i wasnt sure what it was so I sprayed soapy water right onto the turbo and it bubbled up. It was bubbling between the turbo and the compressor.

Does anyone know if theres a gasket or an o-ring between the compressor and the turbo? And where can I get one? Any is very much appreciated...thanks

Mine does not have a gasket either, search a little on the internet and people have said to use a very thin coating of RTV.

Hobbs.....u have a gt28rs too?

I find it odd that it doesnt have a gasket or o-ring. But a thin layer of silicone will be going on there

the gt28rs does not have a o-ring. You need to use loctite or a light coat of rtv on the compressor housing bolts. The housing should not leak but a thin layer of rtv will help. My 3071r has a o-ring but my gt28r and my gt28rs did not.
